CHANNEL 9 DERRY
Channel 9, based in L'Derry, is one of a number of new local stations across the UK who operate under the banner of Local Independent Television Network and is set to launch in Spring 1999. Channel 9 has a varied schedule which covers the full spectrum of life in Ireland. News, current affairs, arts, culture, sports, special needs, DIY, religion, history, education, lifestyle, events, children's and youth programmes and just a few of the areas covered in our schedule.

From humble beginnings -- our first educational projects operated from the back of a dilapidated mail truck -- we have gradually established a community-based foothold within an art form dominated by large corporations.
DCTV is the most honored independent nonprofit media center in the nation. Our productions, which reach over 100 million viewers each year, have received 10 national Emmy Awards, 4 DuPont Columbia Citations, and every other major award in the television field.'
