Set in 1798, the story focuses on Aine, a young bar worker who looks after Maria, Henry Joy McCracken's love child. When soldiers from the Monaghan Militia raid the bar in search of McCracken, Aine panics. She hides the child and looks for a hiding place for herself. In the corner of a dark storeroom she discovers a wooden chest but as she climbs into it, little does she know that the chest's mystical powers will transport her to 1999 ......but, Aine is not the only person from 1798 to discover the magic of the chest...… |
