Self contained 2-day Intensive Script Writing Workshop with award winning filmmaker Laurence Henson.
Given monthly in Dublin since 1997 this excellent workshop has been taken by people from a wide range of ages and backgrounds – from those with no writing experience to novelists & professional scriptwriters.
Each student takes away a bound booklet of course notes for future reference.
Workshop covers: positioning the audience – Hollywood and Europe – Aristotle who? – the writing process-screenplay structure and how it works – difference between cinema and TV – making a scene – identification – forming characters-secrets of dialogue – show not tell narrative drive – genre – adaptation – layout – legal – selling your screenplay.
