THE MIAMI
Some 30 years ago, no showband made the headlines in the way the Miami Showband did. Based around the chilling event that took place at 2.30am on July 31st, 1975, the Miami Massacre, with vintage footage of that evening, surviving members of the band walk one last time around a location which nearly cost them their lives.

TEMPLEMORE’S VISION
Templemore Avenue was part of the vision of Baron Templemore's 1853 plan, though financial circumstances interrupted his work. The avenue had some repute housing residents such as Sea Captains and those involved in the management of ship building. Nowadays it is recognised as a preservation area, due to its Victorian & Edwardian dwellings.

THE LEGACY PROGRAMME
"When we talk about the legacy we would like to leave, we find ourselves united in many  unexpected ways..." Members of Seaview Presbyterian Church in Belfast came together in the pursuit of a lasting legacy for the area.  Children, as young as nine years old, met with adults and the elderly to learn about the forms a legacy can take, learning all about it!

HANS SLOANE TRAIL
In 1687, Doctor Hans Sloane of Killyleagh was given an opportunity that was to change his life forever. He was invited to accompany the new Governor of Jamaica, Christopher Monck, 2nd Duke of Albemarle, as his personal physician. A skilled naturalist, Sloane’s plant collection amounted to more than 800 specimens, and together with his animal specimens became the foundation of his great collections.

THE FALLEN ARCHES
The Newtownards Road is well-known for such icons as Inglis Bakery, the Sirocco Works and Irvine's Shoe Shop. Norman Kennedy and Jim Patton, of the East Belfast Historical Society, recall the shops of the past and their memories of growing up on the Newtownards Road.
