now and then- our journey launch

NOW AND THEN: OUR JOURNEY, part of a series of initiatives led by Northern Ireland Screen for the Legacy Trust UK Connections Programme, was launched in Maghera and Coleraine with complimentary screenings hosted by Cinemagic Film Festival and film workshops organised by Northern Visions for young people to learn a little about how to use the camera, record sound and how to interview friends and family.

The young people are contributing to video blogs for the Now and Then website, sharing their thoughts and stories on sport, the Olympics and insights gleaned from watching the films.

In Derry, the project was launched by the Nerve Centre which presented a two day film making masterclass exploring what the Olympics and sport mean to young people and screened themed films in five primary schools across the city. Sport on the Archive W/S was screened in Nazareth House Primary School and St. Finlough's Primary School in the city.
