Sunday December 2nd

This was mostly a planning session for the practice shoot next Sunday. The kids hadn't much luck getting interviewees for the shoot but will keep trying. The chromakey effect was explained and the shoot from the previous week used to create an example. They decided to use a blue screen background for the interviews so that a variety of images could be used in the background. Probably because they are a drama group, they spend a lot of time and effort working on performance pieces and not enough on the interview/documentary aspects.

As the ones who did camera and sound on the previous film (Just in Time) feel fairly confident, two new kids were given an intensive session on interview techniques for camera and sound. We did an interview with Patsy Ward, who runs MYDG, on the history and experience of the group.
