An all day session to bring the group up to speed. At first we looked at Ligolegs, a film made for Ligoniel Improvement Association in the spring with a group of adolescent boys. The girls weren't very impressed and reiterated their preference for 'A Day in the Life of Stevie'. They spot people reading their lines a mile off. We talked about the possibilities for the final film and about the important issues for them living in Ligoniel.

The idea was to shoot and edit a short piece in a day so they decided on looking at how Ligoniel is so easily cut off. As usual Deborah had the entire script worked out in her head almost immediately and she listed the important points with possible shots. With Michelle, Deborah and Sarah, Marie wrote a voiceover script, which Deborah read and Sarah and Marie recorded. Michelle called the shots, and they soon got the hang of it.

After lunch they headed out to shoot the shots to go with the voiceover. The snow and ice didn't help except for the snow and ice shots! The promised anti-Prod graffiti turned out to be elusive so a tricolour was used to illustrate sectarian strife! By the end they were all beginning to come up with sensible suggestions for possible shots.
