Monday 8th April The group hadn't met for several weeks so I showed them the edit I had done for the Lyric Theatre exhibition. They were fascinated by the way it looked and made a lot of comments about the material they had shot that wasn't in it. We discussed how to edit the film and decided that a transcript of all the interviews would be useful. It was agreed to meet the next week to do a paper edit with that. They also were keen to see the edit from the Ligoniel group. Simon Monday 15th April We spent the evening deciding on the main issues to be covered in the film, how this would be structured and then going through the transcripts of the interviews and highlighting the most relevant pieces. This was a useful exercise for the young people who had been under the impression that they would be able to concentrate on points that hadn't actually been made in the interviews. They finished up writing an introduction to the film to be recorded on the last shoot day next week. We worked out a list a of shots we need to do to be used as cutaways for the edited piece and it was decided that Steve, Ben and Jacky will be interviewed to fill in specific holes in the story. Simon
