December 16th 2001
The practice shoot went ahead on Sunday 16th Dec. and Monday 17th. Glenn came along to assist and we set up for a chat show in the conference room in Ballysillan Community Forum offices. We had planned on there being 6 or 7 interviewees on the Sunday but a couple couldn't make it till Monday. Everyone was well into their roles and the first interview was with Mary C of the Brook Advisory Centre. It lasted 30 minutes and there was a lively discussion about sexuality and being responsible!

The young people then interviewed Carson from the Ballysillan Community Forum. He was a more reserved interviewee and Andy only managed a few minutes with him. In the afternoon we interviewed Worthy, a 15-year-old youth who gave us a guided tour of the area with comments about riots, hang outs and the youth centre (closed).

There was an interview in the Forum office with a representative of FASA, the drugs awareness advice group, on the Monday evening, which went well. This was followed by a discussion about the interviews we had done and what the possibilities are for the final video. Sometimes it's difficult to maintain the attention of the group and getting a clear focus on the ultimate aim of the project has been problematic but we are getting there.
